Tahiti Day 9

Culture
Image result for papeete tahiti cityI can't believe this trip will be over in a couple of days. All five of us have had an excellent time exploring this wonderful country of Tahiti. Since we've been doing a lot for the past 9 days we decided that today would be a very quiet and relaxing day. We'd done a lot of extreme events in the past week or so, so we thought that it would be nice to just walk through the City of Papeete and explore the shops, markets, food, and more. When all of us were walking through the town, we started to realize how healthy the people and the food was here. All of the markets were filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and other fresh and healthy foods. In America we have Food Lion, Kroger, and Costco. In Tahiti there aren't many franchise stores, it's just multiple markets within the City. The stuff that America sells are artificial and unhealthy, most of the foods that are sold in Tahitian markets are freshly grown. You don't see Twinkies and Pop Tarts being sold here in these markets, and that's why the people also look more fit and in shape. The Tahitian natives as a whole look more fit than people in America, that was an interesting observation that we took note of while we were here. It was a very quiet day and it was filled with culture. We stayed out there for a few hours and just went back to the hotel and watched TV, hung out, and called it a day.
